Michalak's Testing & Diagnosis!

I started the needle scale the underside of the vehicle. I removed all four wheel so I can access the frame and access most of the points that I wanted to. As I came down each side of the frame rail right about in the middle. I found the frame is rusted through. As I needle scaled the hole opened up, so I used a little heavier air hammer to hit around the area to see how solid it was. It seems pretty solid, it's an area where the front frame and the rear frame come together and are welded. I believe we can open the frame up so I can inspect the inside to know how much I need to repair. Unfortunately on the driver side I will need to remove the gas tank so that I can access and repair the Rusted frame. The rear fuel tank strap is Rusted halfway through and in need of replacement as well. So once we remove the tank this is something I'd want to replace on reassembly. I will know best how to estimate once I get the fuel tank out, open up the frame and see how much needs to be repaired.
